The at-grade intersection of Laswi Road, Pelajar Pejuang Road, and Gatot Subroto Road in Bandung has historically been a major point of traffic congestion, characterized by severe delays and a low Level of Service (LOS), especially during peak hours. The construction of a flyover at this location was implemented as a strategic infrastructure project to mitigate this gridlock and improve regional connectivity. This research provides a comprehensive evaluation of the flyover project's effectiveness in enhancing traffic performance. The methodology employs a comparative before-and-after study. Key traffic parameters—including vehicle volume, queue length, travel time, and intersection delay—were collected from field surveys conducted prior to the flyover's construction and after it became fully operational. These data were analyzed to quantify the change in the intersection's operational performance. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in traffic flow; the flyover effectively segregates through-traffic, leading to a substantial reduction in average vehicle delay and a marked improvement in the overall Level of Service for the intersection. This study concludes that the flyover project has successfully achieved its primary objective of alleviating congestion at this critical urban artery.
